The official drink of Puerto Rico will delight you with a beautiful blend of pineapple and coconut.
Ingredients
- 25ml cream of coconut
- 50ml pineapple juice
- 50ml rum
Garnish
- pineapple wedge
- maraschino cherry
- sprinkle of cinnamon
Method
This drink goes through a blender and is poured into a highball glass (or ideally a hurricane glass if you happen to have one).
Add all the ingredients to the blender and add ice until just about the liquid surface. Blend, taste and add more of whatever might be needed:
- too sweet: add more pineapple juice (acid)
- too acidy: add cream of coconut
- pirates as guests: more rum!
Pour into a highball glass and garnish with a pineapple wedge and maraschino cherry. I also like to grate some cinnamon on top, but that’s just my personal preference.
